Quebec Caregivers Report Persistent Challenges Navigating Healthcare System
A new survey released by the Institut de la statistique du Québec reveals that many of the province's more than two million informal caregivers struggle to access adequate recognition and support within the health system.
According to findings reported by La Presse, elevated stress levels are widespread among caregivers managing patient coordination. Approximately one in five respondents indicated substantial difficulty communicating effectively with social services and medical staff on behalf of loved ones, underscoring systemic barriers faced by family caregivers across the province.
